Here's an e-mail I just sent out to our congregation. Note that the Seminar is open to everyone whether or not they attend GCF.
Dear Glory of Christ,
This Saturday GCF will host its first "Saturday Seminar" called "The Place of the Word in the Life of the Church." This seminar is based on the first half of my new book, Preach the Word, although you neither have to read nor purchase the book to benefit from this seminar. Rather, the focus will be on why it's important, in fact non-negotiable, to give the Word of God a prominent place in the life of the church, starting with the weekly worship services. I've included the details of this Seminar below. Questions? Feel free to write back!
With hope in Jesus,
When? Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 9:00 a.m – 3:00 p.m.
Where? The Church Office, 707 Highway 10, Suite 300.
Who Can Attend? The “Saturday Seminar Series” is open to everyone whether or not they attend Glory of Christ (the seminar is not a "commercial" for GCF).
How Much? There is no cost for attending this event, although you will need to bring or purchase lunch. We will also have copies of Preach the Word available for $12.00 or whatever you can afford.
What Should I Do? Please R.S.V.P. to email@example.com but if you forget, feel free to show up anyway.
