Rick Warren on Gay Marriage

A couple of hours ago a friend of mine told me that Rick Warren said on Larry King that he was not against gay marriage. I am not a huge fan of Rick Warren's but I know a few things about him and I found this very hard to believe.

So I looked up the video online and found that he said "I am not an anti-gay-marriage ACTIVIST" but then he went on to say that he was for traditional marriage and that he encouraged his church to vote for Proposition 8. But he never attended rallies, wrote opinion pieces, etc., the kinds of things that activists do.

He did go on to say some things that are questionable but I think I get what he was saying and I for one am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Here's the video, please watch it for yourself before you criticize him or pass things on that you've heard others say. By posting the video here, I am not endorsing what he said, I am simply seeking good listening and charitable criticism in the Body of Christ.
